Postpartum Doula Services

Postpartum is magical time full of baby cuddles, bonding and healing. But it’s also a time where we can all use some extra help when we don’t feel like “we got this.” That’s where a postpartum doula comes in.

Meet Our Postpartum Doula

I am Stephanie Simmons. I am the founder of Holy Nourished and I am (among many other things) a postpartum Doula. I am certified by ProDoula and I have served many families as a postpartum doula over the past five years and have over two decades of experience working with children.

I had my first baby in 2016. I was totally in love with my new baby girl, but I also really struggled through her first year. I was finally diagnosed with Postpartum Depression and Anxiety and got the help I needed. The person who helped me seek out that help was my postpartum doula. She was a vital part of my village and I don’t know what I would’ve done without her. That experience and her care and compassion inspired me to become a postpartum doula after my second child was born.

As your postpartum doula I will provide non-judgmental and evidence-based care. I am there to mother the new mother, and make sure that you and your family are not only surviving but thriving in your postpartum period. I can provide feeding guidance, do light household chores, provide infant care while parents take a breather, meal plan/prep, provide overnight care and many other things.
